Inspect washing machine inlet and waste hoses for cracking, bulges, kinks and loose connections. Leave enough room for the appliance to operate without stressing the fittings, and turn off the supply when the machine will be unused for an extended period. Replace damaged hoses promptly to reduce the risk of flooding.
